About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Front-End Java Developer to contribute to the development and maintenance of a foundational banking framework. The role involves supporting a dynamic Java development team within a leading organization in the banking industry. The focus will be on designing, developing, and integrating Java-based components for high-impact banking applications, using Agile methodologies.
Requirements
Skills Needed
Extensive experience as a Java Engineer in an Agile/XP environment (minimum 5 years).
Proficiency in Java, ReactJS, NodeJS, Spring, OO, REST, SOA, XML/XSD/WSDL, JSON.
Expertise in frontend technologies including React, Angular, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
Experience with tools like Zuul, Kubernetes, GridGain, Springboot, Nginx, Docker.
Knowledge of microservices architecture in the banking sector.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch or French is a plus.
Skills Considered as a Plus
Experience with Continuous Delivery and DevOps principles.
Familiarity with operating systems (Unix, Windows) and middleware configuration.
Practical experience with Scrum and Agile frameworks.
Understanding of the banking industry, with the ability to discuss features and translate them into valuable software solutions.
Other Requirements
Ability to coach junior developers and share knowledge.
Comfortable working in a large organization with diverse teams and methodologies.
Flexible and proactive team player with strong communication skills.
